Guy Sprints Into Burning Building To Save His Beer, Gets Arrested

This man risked his life, and even got arrested in order to save the one thing he loves most ⸺ beer.
Michael Casteel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota didn’t care that there were already firefighters and police on scene, ready to put out the burning building, as he ran straight into his house and retrieved his beer cans.

While the deed might sound pretty comical, he really did put himself and the working firefighters in danger, so he was charged with obstructing a firefighter or law enforcement official. Luckily for him, the bond was only $300, so as dumb as his stunt was, he’s probably not going to go broke over it.
His Batman-like vigilante justice didn’t go completely unnoticed though, as Twitter users came to his defense and saluted the man:
@siouxfallspd Another hero without cape not getting proper recognition… a sad day..

@siouxfallspd What if it’s Billy Beer? Wouldn’t that count as saving a national treasure?

Still, he could have bought a lot of beer with those $300, but when the opportunity arises, and you have a chance to be a hero, you’re not thinking straight, and just go with your gut.
