The New Coachella Food Fest You Need To Know About

While Coachella has long been hailed as the go-to concert for the who’s-who of the music industry; Coachella’s organizer, Golden Voice, recently announced a new mega festival — Desert Trip — that will not only combine an iconic list of musical headliners, but a robust lineup of celebrity chefs cooking on-site.

Just like Coachella, attendees will have a chance to experience classic acts such as Sir Paul McCartney, The Who and Bob Dylan just to name a few, but the festival is more than that kick-ass lineup. Festival-goers also have an opportunity to pig out at “Outstanding In The Field,” which is a venue dedicated to hosting on-site culinary experiences at the Empire Polo Grounds.

While the Coachella Valley Music Festival doesn’t usually make a big deal about its private dinners at “Outstanding In The Outfield,” Desert Trip is making sure you know about this, because it’s just as much about the food, as it is about the music.

Desert Trip organizers confirmed a list of chefs on their website and it’s going to be lit with world-renowned chefs, from Dominque Ansel, to Michael Voltaggio.

While it is not yet known what exactly each chef will be working on individually, hosting a booth or hosting private dinners, safe to say that Desert Trip will be Golden Voice’s first, “Foodchella” and hopefully will keep things cooking for years to come.
