Watching A Tomato Being ‘Unchopped’ Will Either Soothe You Or Terrify You

It’s called Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR), and it’s a new wave of videos hitting YouTube that document a traditionally unscrutinized action and hope it makes you feel some type of way. The NextShark blog has a great writeup on it, but if you were like me and just came here for the feels and a slight tingle up the back of your neck, you’ll want to watch this video of a tomato getting “unchopped” with the sound on high.

I don’t recommend hitting play and then tabbing over to something else, as the audio without the context of the visuals presents an opposite-of-soothing effect, and is in fact quite terrifying:
