Japan Has Ramen Sandwiches, But They’re Not What You Think

Ramen-Sandwiches

We’ve seen ramen burgers take the world by storm, but has anyone see a ramen sandwich before? Yamazaki Bread, a prominent Japanese baked goods company, has created a line of sandwiches that feature ramen in them.

No, the sandwich itself won’t be made from ramen noodles. Rather, the crust-less Lunch Pack sandwiches will feature a ramen center.

RocketNews24 reports that the Lunch Pack brand released a special line of ramen sandwiches. While it doesn’t have the broth, the noodle filling is seasoned with a concentrated pork/soy sauce that mimics the flavor along with chunks of pork in place of the chashu.

You can find the sandwiches for 150 yen ($1.30 US) each.

The brand also makes regular sandwiches like peanut butter, egg and tuna. Available this month, you can probably find them at select convenience stores and markets in Japan.
