This Bracelet Will Pump Caffeine Straight Into Your Bloodstream

If people are cool with patches spreading nicotine into their skin, and Power Balance bracelets filling them up with magical ninja powers, then surely they’ll buy into this caffeine-pumping bracelet.

It’s called the Joule Caffeine bracelet and it’s meant to give you a jolt without having to resort to coffee, caffeine pills or energy drinks.

The bracelet contains patches filled with caffeine and vitamins that are administered through the skin, similar to the way nicotine patches work. A dose can last up to four hours, and it provides an “even supply of caffeine, so you won’t feel a crash, or jitters.

Yes, it does go through your bloodstream and they explain that it is a safe process because:

“Transdermal administration is simply another method of helping active ingredients reach your blood stream, which is also the goal of digestion.”

W’ere no scientists here, but they make it sound like injecting yourself with caffeine like some kind of crackhead, actually isn’t that big of a deal.

People are buying into it, though, as it’s actually way past its Indiegogo goal of $15,000, with over $66,000 in funding, and shipments ready to go out in July 2016.

So, this might be the future of caffeine and sounds pretty revolutionary, but let’s take a minute to talk about their promo video, because it’s freakin’ AWESOME!

The video is like a Family Guy episode, filled with random references that make you forget what you’re even watching.

__________

Like this classic Zoolander reference.

__________

And this weird scene of Darth Vader massaging an 18th century composer.

__________

A little homage to Wayne’s World

And a Carlton Banks dance scene.

Check out the whole video below. Yeah, it’s super corny, but super worth it, and it’ll kind of explain what their ultimate goal is:
