Carl’s Jr. & Hardee’s Employ a Robot In New Ad Campaign

If machines can’t eat it, machines shouldn’t make it — that’s the message behind the latest video campaign from Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s. The commercial, a spot for their new Hand Breaded Chicken Filet Sandwich, chronicles a night-time eating session for a robot. Unfortunately, since he’s a robot, he struggles with eating the new menu item, as much as he may want to and believe he can.

This is actually a rather nice change of pace from the chain’s dedication to beautiful, scantily-clad women eating their burgers. Pause. The robot was designed by the same people who did Terminator and Iron Man, and the entire spot was directed and produced by the creatives at David & Goliath.
