McDonald’s Is Stepping Up Its Fry Game With SWEET POTATO FRIES
Burger King tried their hand at sweet potato fries. Hell, even Jack In The Box had some criss-cut sweet potato fries. Now McDonald’s is giving the fries a shot in Texas.
The fries can be found in restaurants across Amarillo, and according to a statement given to Eater, McDonald’s is “Gathering valuable customer feedback on them.”
Last time McDonald’s got positive feedback from a concept test, it led to all-day breakfast, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we eventually see sweet potato fries on a national level, even if they’re just seasonal.
This isn’t the brand’s first encounter with sweet potatoes. In 2014, the golden arches had sweet potato wedges in Australia, which is almost the same thing.
Whether you’re a fan of sweet potato seasonal foods, or not, just be glad they’re not pumpkin spice fries.
