Upgrade Your Caramel Apples With These Simple Bacon Strips

There was a time, before Michelle Obama started making people care about how fat kids were getting, where we all had a chance to enjoy a caramel candy apple at school.

Amy Erickson of the Oh, Bite It recipe blog was probably reminiscing over those times, when suddenly, bacon took over her mind and forced her to wrap it all over the classic apple treat.

She kept the recipe simple for these bacon-wrapped candy apples. All used were apples, bacon, caramel squares and candy apple sticks.

Erickson essentially just melted up the caramel, dipped the apple in it and threw on the bacon-ey goodness.

The “6-year-old you” would be totally jealous that “adult you” can make these anytime you want.
