McDonald’s Goes National With ALL-DAY BREAKFAST
There were whispers earlier this summer that McDonald’s might take its All-Day breakfast menu national, and it’s officially going to happen.
We won’t even have to wait long as the nationwide launch will happen October 6, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The biggest thing keeping them from doing it in the past was kitchen space, but it seems they’ve resolved that. They now have two toasters to separate the buns from the muffins and a means of keeping raw eggs away from the rest of the food.
The golden arches had been testing an all day breakfast menu in several San Diego restaurants, so the test either went really well, or McDonald’s was really desperate for a spark in sales.
McDonald’s has been struggling to get the consumer’s fast food dollar as 2014 marked their worst sales year in a decade. They even had to close 350 of its stores worldwide in 2015.
Its current breakfast cutoff time is 10:30 a.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m on weekends, and lord knows how upsetting it can be when you get there at 10:31 a.m.
The fast food mega chain has over 14,000 restaurants in the US and each one will be prepped with a select portion of its breakfast offerings, including sausage burritos, hot cakes and Egg McMuffins, or biscuit sandwiches.
But alas, we can finally eat a McMuffin in the middle of the night if we want to.
