Amazon is doing delivery of booze to your home. Within an hour. Starting now.

As part of Prime Now, Amazon is giving an answer to those folks who still go to the store because they need an item in less than an hour. Like booze, for example.

“Residents of Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland can now get one-hour delivery on tens of thousands of items like paper towels, wine, beer, chilled and frozen items like milk and ice cream, televisions and Kindle devices,” said Amazon in a press release.

The service isn’t everywhere just yet, and right now the fate of on-demand Amazon booze delivery spreading to the rest of the country lies in the fate of Seattle residents and their usage of Prime Now.

The service itself is pretty baller — essentially becoming Amazon’s fastest delivery option ever.

Stephanie Landry, Amazon’s director of Prime Now service, mentioned that “With Prime Now, you can skip a trip to the store and get the items you need delivered right to your door in under an hour.”

Even sexier, if you can stomach another hour on your impulse Amazon purchase, a two-hour delivery is free, while a one-hour delivery is currently available for $7.99.

How To Get Booze If You’re Not In Seattle

DoorDash is a viable option as well. It’s available as a smartphone app, and essentially, works like an Uber for your favorite foods and drinks. Of the retail locations available on the service is BevMo — so if you have that in your vicinity, you can pretend your DoorDash is Amazon Prime Now and still get booze delivered to your doorstep.
