Watch Bartenders From Around The World Compete In The ‘Oscars Of Mixology’

In a world full of bartenders mixing and stirring drinks to the satisfaction of thirsty party-goers, how do you set apart the best of the best? With the biggest cocktail battle in the world, of course.

The Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition isn’t some corny little battle at your local pub — the global competition is considered the “Oscars of bartending.”

A total of 34 competitors traveled to the event, which was held in Sydney, Australia, where they were challenged to not only make something memorable, but something that could become a household cocktail, prepared in bars across the world. Over three episodes, we get an exclusive inside look at the competition and delve into the intense mixology scene.

In the first episode, host Chris Kevin got some insight from a past winner and even tossed around some bottles with Nicolas Saint-Jean, who is considered one of the best flair bartenders in the world.

Check out the first episode below, and stay tuned for the next two episodes as we might all learn a thing or two from the people who take the art of drink mixing to a whole new level.
