Subway Suspends Spokesman Jared Fogle After Feds Raid His Home
Subway has suspended all relationships with famed pitchman Jared Fogle after his Indiana home was raided by federal agents Tuesday.
The warrants were believed to be in connection to a child pornography investigation and according to Reuters, Subway has already removed promotions from its site that featured Fogle.
There is also no trace of him on Subway’s social media accounts, except for this statement:
“Subway and Jared Fogle have mutually agreed to suspend their relationship due to the current investigation. Jared continues to cooperate with authorities and he expects no actions to be forthcoming. Both Jared and Subway agree that this was the appropriate step to take.”
The move comes even though Fogle has not been arrested, or charged for any crime.
Two months ago, the executive director of Fogle’s foundation was arrested on child pornography charges, but FBI spokeswoman Wendy Osborne did not comment on whether this search was connected.
