Watch These Artists Draw 3D Food That Looks More Realistic Than Real Food

Some artists just love playing head games. You could stare at some of these and swear they’re real, but they’re just crazy detailed, 3D drawings of food.

I’ll never understand how one of these dudes made a cup of water look like it’s standing on a table, but you can watch the video of him drawing it and try to make sense of it for yourself.

It’s pretty cool to watch a step-by-step of how the artists drew them realistic drawings. Using a technique that’s called anamorphic art, some of these foods look like they’re floating.

Don’t worry, the videos are time lapsed, so you don’t have to sit through hours of footage like some film student at USC. You can watch the process in a matter of minutes:
