A Trail Of Macaroni Salad Led To The Capture Of Stupid Restaurant Burglars

When burglars steal an entire surveillance system, you’d think they’d be the kind of thieves who’d be more careful with the evidence they leave behind. Turns out, that’s not so much the case with this New York restaurant robbery.

Upon investigating the New York Build-A-Burger, police discovered a “steady trail of macaroni salad” along with parts of surveillance equipment leaving the crime scene.

Turns out the three suspects also stole a bowl of the side dish and shared it as they made their escape. As the officers followed the trail, they eventually found and arrested the suspects.

Police charged the macaroni salad thieves with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree grand larceny.
