Drought Forces Starbucks To STOP PRODUCING BOTTLED WATER In California

The California drought is now affecting the biggest coffee chain in the world.

Starbucks made a statement on its site that it would no longer produce its Ethos water from their California plant and put the load on the east coast supplier in Pennsylvania.

Seeing how its Ethos water is supposed to help with the water crisis around the world, it almost feels like they had to make this move, or else they’d look kind of dumb. When you do something even remotely dumb, Twitter attacks you, and like Starbucks learned in their Race Together campaign, Twitter can be terrifying.

Starbucks said it has already reduced its water usage in California by 26 percent with “green building and conservation practices,” and they believe this move will really help California as they scramble to find ways to conserve water.
