This New Patty-Less ‘No Shrimp Burger’ Might Be The Saddest Burger Ever

We’ve seen a lot of cool food come out of Japan, but this is not one of them. It just might be the worst excuse for a burger, ever, and people are actually paying for it.

According to RocketNews24, Japanese hamburger chain Lotteria sells a burger called the No Shrimp Burger, which not only purposely excludes shrimp, it doesn’t have any type of patty. Its contents are literally just tartar sauce and lettuce inside a bun. They should just call it the lettuce burger.

At 210 yen (US$1.76) each, it’s not terribly expensive, but you’re still paying a couple bucks for a lettuce-stuffed bun.

Sure, it’s just a stunt to promote its upcoming shrimp burger, but it’s still pretty sketchy that they’d let people buy this garbage burger.
