This Guy’s Realistic Spilled Drink Drawings Are an OCD Nightmare

Hyper-realistic photos are pretty mind blowing. Sometimes you have to squint really hard before your realize that you’re staring at a drawing and not a snapped photo.

Artist Ivan Hoo took that art to another level as he produces his drawings on wooden boards. It’s crazy how his food drawings look like actual products placed on a board.Staring at his spilled wine piece, or his fallen Starbucks cup, the realism makes you think you could reach over and pick them up, and that’s exactly his intended purpose.

Hoo was self-taught and said he was influenced by photorealists such as Audrey Flack and Roberto Bernardi.

On Bored Panda Hoo explains that drawing on wood gives him the opportunity to draw things that are close to reality. He uses colored pencils, pastels and ink to create his drawings.
