New York’s Fancy Pants Denny’s Serves Mimosas and Bloody Marys
There’s plenty of places to enjoy a nice, boozy Sunday brunch, but Denny’s typically isn’t one of them. Until now.
Opening Friday on the ground floor of a luxury condo in Manhattan is NYC’s first ever Denny’s. Following a long series of protests and lawsuits, the moderately higher-end location is finally ready to appease faux-hipster New Yorkers with exposed brick walls, craft cocktails, and even bottles of Dom Perignon.
Eater NY reports that most of what you’ll find at the fancy pants new spot is the same as any regular Denny’s location, though there are some dishes in bowls called “Bakes” (i.e., lasagna bakes, Philly cheesesteak bakes) and a cleverly named “Grand Cru Slam” — a $300 combo featuring two regular Grand Slam breakfasts, a “high-five” from the bartender, and a whole bottle of vintage 2003 Dom Perignon.
Long story short, it seems basic bitches now have an even more basic place at which to partake in their basic bitchdom. Whoo-hoo!
