‘Diet Mtn Dew Supernova’ Becomes Newest Permanent Flavor

As part of Mtn Dew‘s fan-determined flavor selection process, the brand has taken today to reveal the latest winner: DIET MTN DEW SUPERNOVA. The newest flavor was reportedly chosen after hundreds of thousands of votes were cast, and will be returning to stores full-time pending a further announcement outlining exact dates.

Mtn Dew is facing some immediate backlash ironically associated with a public, social-based selection process that they’ve undertaken. With the announcement of the new flavor coming in little under 5 hours ago, their Facebook page has been bombarded with negative feedback concerning the new flavor:
