Silver Fern Farms Beef Uses 96,000 Samples to Find the Perfect Steak [Sponsored]

After gathering 96,000 samples across both New Zealand and the US, Silver Fern Farms was able to figure out what goes into the perfect steak. Apparently, their “master graders” use a 6-point system to ensure their product is worthy enough to make your plate.

According to the company, the right levels of color and ph indicate how long your beef will last and taste. The color of the fat is checked too, as it provides the story behind the animals diet. For loin cuts, marbling quality is noted, and ossification is tested to make sure the beef isn’t tough. Rib fat is the last point on the list, marking both appearance and overall flavor.
