Why You Should Hire a Canadian PR Firm: McDonald’s Chef Makes Big Mac with Store-Bought Ingredients

McDonald’s Canadian PR firm has been on their A-game lately, the most recent example being an attempt to prove that their chicken nuggets are made from actual chicken. Interested in seceing what work they’ve brought to the table thus far, we stumbled upon a video they released back in June 2013 titled “”What is in the sauce that is in the Big Mac?”

Apparently the question was conveniently posed by a Christine H. In response, Dan Coudreaut, the chain’s executive chef, demonstrates how to make the crackalicious sauce — as well as the rest of the burger — at home. Set in a super casual kitchen setting, the chef proceeds to peel off his uniform down to a super casual plaid shirt. He then sets about to chopping up and cooking ingredients found at your local grocery store. The end result is a homemade burger that bears a striking resemblance to the fast food Big Mac.

It’s enough to convince you that Big Mac’s are made from wholesome, farm-fresh ingredients.

Well, almost. Here’s a breakdown of the “homemade” vs the “fast food” ingredients that go into a US and Canadian Big Mac.

It’s important to know that while the homemade version’s ingredients appear significantly different from the fast food version, what goes into your “Big Mac” or any burger for the matter depends on the ingredients you choose. The jarred pickles your grab at the grocery store could be loaded with just as many hard-to-pronounce chemicals found in the fast food version, so make sure to read the label. Conclusion: Choose wisely. Eat wisely.
