Le Double Mix: Quick’s Two-Headed Burger Offerings

Looks like a screen shot out of a science fiction movie, but rest assured, this is real. Quick, one of Europe’s largest quick service chains, has just announced their Le double mix line of sandwiches. Available now for a limited time only, these sandwiches literally morph into a different sandwich halfway into them. Available in two varieties, the Double Mix Beef and the Double Mix Chicken, the sandwiches are covering a lot of demographics in one fell swoop. Just when we thought novelty burger ideas ended in 2010, we are now proven wrong.

The Double Mix Beef (pictured above) comes with three patties of ground beef with one side of the sandwich utilizing the “sauce au poivre” and the other “the sauce brie fondue”. The Double Mix Chicken (pictured below) conjoins two chicken filets, with one side carrying a sweet curry sauce and the other a spicy curry. Both sandwiches utilize a half plain, half seeded bun that is joined at the hip. Oh the merry enjoyment you must encounter when you’re biting into both sides at once. I’m not mad at this idea one bit.
