Del Taco officially released their new Turkey Tacos earlier this week as a new menu item. FOODBEAST was able to find them at a test site last November and, honestly, they tasted pretty much the same as the ground beef option. With 33% less fat than their ground beef counterparts, they’re looking to help out in the New Year’s resolutions department.

The new turkey tacos are made up of seasoned lean ground turkey, grated cheese, pico de gallo and shredded lettuce clocking in at 150 calories each. At $1.29 each, customers can get the turkey tacos on either a crunchy taco shell or a soft tortilla. Also new to the menu is Del Taco’s new Turkey CrunchTada toastadas which also features the new lean ground turkey meat.
