Gourmet TV Dinner Boasts Lobster, Dom Perignon-Poached Fish and Gold Crumbs

1

The mundane TV dinner has had an extreme makeover.  UK Chef Charlie Bigham designed a gourmet “luxury” meal, meant to be served on a tray, held on your lap, and eaten in front of the telly.  Named the “Swish Pie,” it’s full of Cornish lobster, Dom Perignon poached fish and gold crumb topping.  Oh, and Bigham tossed on some caviar, truffles, and oysters, because, at this point, why not.

Every ingredient in this dinner comes from an exotic, and extravagant, locale.  Think hand-cultivated salt from Slovenia extravagant.  Apparently, Bigham spent months looking for exclusive ingredients around the world.  All so we could drop £314.16 (nearly 500 big ones here in the states) for a TV dinner.

So, would you be willing to give up your date with Ben & Jerry for this extra fancy meal?
