Canada Serves Up Maple Bacon Jam Cronut Burgers

Ah, yes. Cronut insanity has finally reached the Land of Meese-Riding Mounties: Maple Bacon Jam Cronut Burgers will be served at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto, aka “the traditional marketplace for freakshow foods,” from August 16 to September 2.

Similar to the DIY Umami-stuffed cronut burger, this Canadian version features a patty placed between two “cronut clones” and topped with maple bacon jam. The hybrid comes from a collaboration between Le Dolci and EPIC Burgers and Waffles, a Toronto restaurant known for their Krispy Kreme burgers, and will be offered for $10 a pop.

CNE will also be serving up Nutella fries and Bacon & Peanut Butter Milkshakes, among other indulgent offerings. Sigh, it’s times like these that make me miss the motherland.
