This Gourmet Vending Machine Pops Out Bottles of Champagne

This is what my normal date night looks like: After a few minutes of offhanded “what do you want to do tonights,” my boyfriend and I decide to pick up some to-go salmon dinners from The Cheesecake Factory and stop by Redbox on our way home. Occasionally it is nice to slow down and indulge a little, though, like engaging in actual conversation, putting away our crux smart phones and laptops and picking up some champagne from the local vending machine. Naturally.

Last year Berlin delicatessen Floris Feinkost launched its own gourmet vending machine featuring such classy treats as bottles of Legras & Haas champagne, Peters pralines, Dutch stroopwafels (these things) and Floris lemon sea salts. Open 24/7, the machine is also debit-card activated and replenished every day to ensure freshness. Sure, it’s missing some sorely-needed tins of caviar, but with a price range of between €2 and €20 (or $2.60 and $26), you can probably buy yourself enough bubbly to feel fancy without them.
