Queen Bey Gets Made Over in 3,780 Oreo Pops
In the internet game, there are a few things bloggers will genuinely fawn over for their awesomeness, like Sriracha and My Little Pony. And then there are things we write about just for the clicks. Guess which category Beyoncé falls under.
Luckily we brought Oreos to make up for it.
A UK-based artist named Michelle Wibowo was recently commissioned by Oreo to construct an edible portrait of the “queen of ‘poptraits’” herself, the forever fierce Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter. According to Design Taxi, the whole installation took six weeks of planning, eight hours of construction and a grand total of 3,780 pops made of crushed Oreo and Philadelphia cream cheese to create.
The idea was to “inspire families to have more fun in the kitchen together,” though how exactly Beyoncé became the poster child for family funtimes is a little beyond me. Maybe we’re meant to follow up the cooking process with a lively round of Super Bowl cardio. Seems legit.
