Here’s How to Make S’mores Popcorn
Prepare to have your mind blown by what is one of the easiest and most delicious snacks of all time. This recipe was sent to me by the BF, so you can thank him for this – and the inevitable slew of popcorn snack recipes bound to follow this one.
Sorry in advance.
I used this “simply salted” microwavable popcorn which has just a hint of salt. Sure making popcorn isn’t rocket science, but when it means one less pan to clean, how can I resist?
I can’t.
______________
S’mores Popcorn
Makes about 10 cups
Ingredients
- 1 3-oz. bag of microwave popcorn, popped (or 10 cups popped popcorn)
- 4 Tbsp. butter
- One 10-oz. bag of mini marshmallows, divided
- 9 graham crackers or a generous sprinkle of Golden Grahams cereal
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- Salt to taste
Here’s How to Make It:
1. Pop popcorn according to package directions. You can also pop popcorn on the stovetop if you want to old-school it.
2. Spread popcorn on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with crumbled graham crackers (or Golden Grahams).
3. Heat butter, half of the chocolate chips, and half of the marshmallows in the microwave until the butter is melted, stir to combine.
4. Drizzle marshmallow mixture evenly over the popcorn and toss together.
5. Once the popcorn is well-coated with the marshmallow mixture, add the unmelted marshmallows and chocolate chips, then toss everything once again. Sprinkle with additional salt to taste.
5. Let the s’more popcorn cool completely, then transfer to a paper bag for storage (in the unlikely event that you have any left).
