TIL: The Difference Between Family and Party Size Doritos is One Ounce — ONE OUNCE
Doritos are applicable in all situations. They serve as the perfect crunch factor in the awesome DLT, and if you beer and batter and deep fry those bad boys, the result is a cheesy soiree in your mouth. So many kids and adults have become such huge fans of the tasty triangles that it’s almost ridiculous, but today I learned the folks over at Doritos are pulling a sly move when it comes to packaging.
Guess what America — the difference between family and party size bags is ONE OUNCE (that is, the family size = 17 oz. and the party size = 16 oz.). That’s like, a few chips at most. Well, 12 if we’re being technical, but still. It’s just so hard to stay mad at Doritos because a) prices of the two varieties are usually the same, and b) the chips just rule, guys.
So what’s the moral here? Don’t trust everything you read on packages. But keep the Doritos lovin’ coming.
