Sonya Thomas Claims 4.8 Lbs. of Chicken in 12 Minutes

For the third year in a row, Sonya “Black Widow” Thomas ate 4.8 pounds of chicken wings in 12 minutes to reclaim her title as champion wing eater for the third year in a row. The competition held at the 2010 National Chicken Wing Festival in Buffalo brought out some big name eaters, including crowd favorite Joey Chestnut. Thomas’ feat of putting down 4.8 pounds of chicken set a new world record. Congratulations Sonya, and better luck next year Joey!
