Finally, A Vending Machine That Serves Hot, Steamy Food

In San Diego they are finally catching up with the innovative vending machines of Japan. Although it’s no Smart Car vending machine, the EatWave vending machine is the answer to your break-time prayers. The $12,000 machine packs a punch offering up to 60 selections of cold drinks, snacks and hot food. Although the concept of instant hot food isn’t groundbreaking, you can imagine the convenience of a vending machine which warms food in one minute or less. You get to actually sit and enjoy your break rather than spend the majority of your 15 minutes in a scuffle between buying food, locating a microwave to heat it and then finding that there’s a line, leaving virtually no time to sit and relax.

Let’s end the era of vending machines that offer little more than overly salted peanuts and pretzel sticks, a time when we spent all of our break trying to heat our food, and begin this new era of vending machines with a cold drink, a chocolate bar and a hot pocket from EatWave.
