Ragú’s ‘Charlie Bit My Finger’ Commercial Ruins Our Favorite YouTube Video

Back in August,  adults and children alike tittered away with Ragú commercials capturing quintessential childhood moments. Now, they’re back with another attempt at adorable and funny, teaming up with the kids from the viral video Charlie Bit My Finger…Again!

Yet while the commercial isn’t as bad as walking in on your parents for the first time or having your hamster replaced by an imposter, it falls short of making any logical correlation between having your baby brother bite your finger and pasta. Playing on their familiar tagline that “A long day of childhood calls for America’s favorite pasta sauce,” the commercial doesn’t quite live up to it’s predecessors. Rather, we end up wondering when the jingle “Charlie bit my finger like a rabid possum, but dad kept on filming because he thought it was awesome” will end and why Ragú insisted on ruining one of our favorite YouTube videos.

Shame on you, Ragú.
