This is What a Spaghetti Bun Burger Looks Like

Crispy, almost burnt, baked spaghetti – the kind that clings to the bottom of your baking sheet, the kind you have to pry out with a fork – is delicious. So even without the hype over Shimamoto’s ramen burgers from earlier this month, we’d still be super excited that a burger joint out in Philadelphia decided to use the stuff as BUNS for a SPAGHETTI BURGER. Frankly, we’re even a little surprised this didn’t come first.

A proper spaghetti burger needs a good set of garlic buns, but PYT’s version swaps the bread out for brown, baked garlic noodles and sandwiches them around a mozzarella-stuffed meatball patty, red marinara sauce and parmesan flakes – perfect foodie bait. It was recently featured as PYT’s “Burger of the Week,” along with a Loaded Potato Skin Burger (!), a Shrimp & Grits Burger (!), a Bruschetta Burger (!) and a Crab Cake Bun Burger (!!!).

Let’s just hope some Instagramming foodie couple decides to use it to re-enact some pseudo-ironic version of Lady and the Tramp. That’s amore!
