‘Lasagna-Bun Burger’ is Made of Deep-Fried Ricotta & Mozzarella

This is one of those I-need-to-sink-my-teeth-in-this-right-now moments. (That’s what she said? Yikes) The Lasagna-Bun Burger hails from Philadelphia’s PYT, the same spot that gave birth to the bacon shell taco.

This cheese-laden beast features a “bun” made from two sliced pieces of deep fried ricotta and ungodly amounts of mozzarella. The burger itself is infused with meatball seasoning and topped with marinara sauce and provolone cheese that melts right into the patty. Oh, and the meal comes with a side of “Italian-Parm” fries, because a cheese-laden beef patty between deep fried buns is hardly filling. Hardly.
