[update: more photos and video here]

One of our Foodbeast readers sent over a pretty awesome photo of a Taco Bell taco made with a crispy chicken shell. A few quick calls and we were able to confirm that this taco is the real deal.

They’re calling it the Naked Crispy Chicken Taco. It features a breaded white-meat chicken shell that’s filled with lettuce, tomato, shredded cheese and an avocado ranch sauce.

So far the only known location to carry them is in Lost Hills, CA. The taco is available individually for $2.49:

It kinda reminds us of KFC’s Double Down and Double Down dog, but in taco form. We’ll update as soon as more info comes in.

UPDATE: A redditor stopped by a Taco Bell in Bakersfield, CA, and found another spot that sold the Naked Crispy Chicken Taco. This one costs a little more at $2.99 for a single taco. A $4.99 combo of a large drink and an accompanying Crunchy Taco is also an option.
