    March 6th, 2010 | Eats

We knew it was in testing, but now the day has come, Taco Bell has officially dropped a fish alternative onto their menu in the form of the Pacific Shrimp Taco. Comes in a soft flour tortilla with six shrimp marinated in a mix of spices, topped with crisp shredded lettuce, Fiesta Salsa and Avocado Ranch Sauce. Of course, just in time for Lent season, and when consumed only adds 180 calories, 7 grams of fat, 21 grams of carbs, 660 mg of sodium and 8 grams of protein to your diet. Bacon Cheese Turtle Burger Fan Fiction
    March 3rd, 2010 | Eats

I call this particular creation “fan art” because it has no where near the poignancy of its original inspiration we posted about a few weeks ago, but it definitely is a valiant effort and a reasonably interesting jump-off with some new additions. While the website that posted this one is in a language I don’t speak or read, the only information I can pull is from the pictures. If you don’t remember, the original was made from handmade ground beef patties, topped with sharp cheddar cheese, wrapped in a bacon weave and accented with hot dogs as the body parts. This new recreation of the original seems to be complete with potato and zucchini wedges and meatballs for garnish, in case there’s not enough meat in the turtle the first time around. Kudos!

Domino’s: Profits on the Rise, New Recipe Seems to Work
    March 2nd, 2010 | Eats

It’s been a couple months since Domino’s has rolled out their completely changed new recipe for Pizza. According to the latest publicly available 2009 Financial Reports, Domino’s Pizza saw some very promising results towards the latter portion of the year. Revenues rose 8.1% for the fourth quarter, with a net income that was up $12.6 million (114%). That fourth quarter also saw global retail sales jump 16.4% as well. CEO David A. Brandon attributes these numbers to the launch of their new core pizza, what do you guys think? Is this new pizza any good? Better than their old? Do you care?

    Confused Croissandwich
    March 2nd, 2010 | Eats, Sweets

One of my favorite things to write about are combinations or twists on flavor that I never thought about before. When I saw this quote unquote Confused Croissandwich, I definitely had to try it! We’re looking at Bananas and Swiss cheese on a chocolate drizzled croissant. Whether it’s for breakfast, lunch or a light dinner, this definitely has my taste buds curious! (PicThx Insanewiches)
