Ruby Tuesday to Close Up to 70 Locations
    December 26th, 2008 | Eats | By: Staff

Ruby Tuesday Inc. has made public the information that it would be closing 40 locations during its third quarter (February), and an addition 30 units during the “next several years”. These closures would total almost 10% of its domestic locations. The closures most likely come from sluggish sales and increased renovation costs in their efforts to rejuvenate their dining experiences. Whenever a restaurant closes, it definitely is a sad day in the Foodbeast world. Regardless, keep your heads up and do your best to eat on.

SPAM. At Burger King. You heard it, the famous canned-meat SPAM. Right now, it’s only at Hawaii Burger King locations, but if you opt for some SPAM in the morning (looks to be only until 10 a.m.), you can get it as part of a SPAM platter with eggs and rice, or as part of a CROISSAN’WICH. Make sure to catch the commercial after the jump:

Opening: Buffalo Wild Wings (Santa Ana)
    December 26th, 2008 | Eats | By: Staff

These guys are awesome, not only cause their food is good, but because they were of the first restaurants to contact us when we first opened, asking to be mentioned on Foodbeast. Sure enough, when we went to go check out one of their locations, we had nothing but good times, good food and good drinks…so when we heard that they were opening up a location a little closer to HQ, in Santa Ana, CA, we had to share the good news! It’s slated to open in the same shopping center as the Chipotle Mexican Grill we just announced minutes ago. See you there when it opens, eat on! (Thx NancyLuna)

    Opening: Chipotle (Santa Ana)
    December 26th, 2008 | Eats | By: Staff

In January of 2009, Chipotle will be opening doors to its 15th location in the East Santa Ana strip center. This Chipotle will apparently be opening up next door to a Baja Fresh Mexican Grill, the competition will truly be interesting…but in my opinion, Baja Fresh is a different eatery, offerring many different things…but to each his own, eat on! Denny’s: Rockstar Menu
    December 24th, 2008 | Eats | By: Staff

In the rare initiative to promote a latenight menu, Denny’s has allowed, once again, 4 select bands to be a part of 4 new menu additions to Denny’s latenight menu. I can’t lie, I’m very excited about these menu items. Let’s start with the oh-so-sexy Katy Perry and her addition, the “The Hot N Cold Cherry Chocolate Cappuccino”, consisting of: vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, French vanilla cappuccino and whipped cream with a cherry on top. The dudes from Boys Like Girls were inspired by their single, “The Great Escape” to create “The Great Eggsteak”! This interesting sandwich relooks the classic roast beef sandwich by adding peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese, scrambled egg and spicy mayonnaise all sitting between two sourdough bread buns, served with a side of hash browns. The rock band from my youth, Hoobastank, combined two of their favorite foods for this awesome post-concert meal, the “Hooburrito,” a hybrid BBQ chicken pizza and burrito. The burrito is filled to the brim with crispy chicken strips, pepper jack cheese and onion crispers all wrapped in a warm tortilla, served beside a bed of tortilla chips, cheese sauce and ranch. The final addition comes from the rock group Taking Back Sunday as they present their “Taking Back Sunday’s Melty Grilled Chicken and Sausage Quesadilla,” consisting of chicken breast, sausage, American cheese, grilled peppers and onions, pico de gallo and a cilantro-lime ranch sauce, all piled into a large flour tortilla. Rock out with your cock out after your late-night partying with this hefty new menu, eat on!
