I don’t know why that is but I know I get a ton of enjoyment out of seeing what I can come up with each year. Wrigley’s is dressing up for the holidays. Presenting these $7 tins that are mocked up to look like a package of classic Wrigley’s gum. Each tin comes with 10 packages of gum, consisting of a mix of five-stick packs for each flavor. Did you know Wrigley’s house is on Catalina Island? True story.
Apparently, according to our friends over at So Good, we now know that Pizza Hut has contracted a couple guys that make You Tube clips under the name Mediocre Films, (you might know them from some of their work, such as Retarded Policeman) to make a few viral videos for them. The one viewable above revolves around these two fellows who go to three different local pizza shops…and place delivery orders from Pizza Hut, asking them to deliver to the pizza shop they are currently at. Pretty enjoyable and thrifty marketing by Pizza Hut…I know I’m hungry!
Food Network will be offering behind-the-scenes tours of its New York City studios beginning this week. It hasn’t really been made known why these tours have started now, but for $20 buks a person, who the hell cares? You might meet BAM! Emeril Lagasse, or that Ms. E-V-O-O herself, Rachael Ray. You can pick up some tickets at Chelsea Market Baskets or by making a call to 646-336-3736. The tours run Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays through January 15th, so get your Food Network on! Yesterday we reported the creation of a Burger King produced cologne entitled, “Flame”, it seems CNN’s news team was not too far behind on the coverage, hitting the streets to get people reaction.
Back in August, we posted about a former Burger King employee who was fired after bathing in a Burger King restaurant sink, video taping it, and putting it on You Tube. Today, a new group of idiots are brought to our attention, in the form of three catastrophically unnattractive female employees who decided it would be a good idea to bathe in their kitchen sink at KFC. The group of girls made it easy for the company to confirm, considering shortly after the incident, they posted these pictures on their Myspace pages. OMFG c0mm3ntz my pix0rz! No. Fired. (Thx FFC)
It seems department store giant Macy’s is spicing it up lately. Not too long ago, they Rick Rolled America during their Macy’s Day Parade, now they are opening up a 3-part restaurant within their store walls. “Signature Kitchen”, which encompasses three different eateries in an upscale-style food court environment, including: Cat Cora’s ‘Que, or CCQ; Marc Samuelsson’s Marc Burger; and Nancy Silverton’s La Brea Bakery.
