    Adventure: Red Lobster Business Meeting
    December 18th, 2009 | Adventures

It’s become synonmyous between myself and my colleagues that whenever we need to discuss something business related, we decide that food must be the mediator. Many of the people that read this site can relate, so here’s a quickie adventure we made to Red Lobster; interestingly enough, neither I, nor Geoff, nor Rudy had ever eaten there. We knew they had a nice new Wood-Fire Grill method that was top of our priority list, so we dove in, and littered our table with Grilled Shrimp, Wood-Fire Grilled Salmon, lobster baked potatoes, and approximately 32 refills of Diet Coke.

    Adventure: Kogi BBQ Truck
    September 29th, 2009 | Adventures

We’ve been reporting about Kogi for awhile now, but the truth remained that nobody in our direct crew had ever tried it personally. The social media savvy Korean BBQ + Taco Truck fusion mobile has become a southern California independent calling card. For me, there’s absolutely no food that warrants a wait longer than an hour and this factors into the reason why I have yet to try it. Earlier this morning though, Taylor shot me a text letting me know the truck was going to be in our backyard in the Orange/Santa Ana area, only for two hours. We decided to nut up and give it a shot, here’s what went down.

    Airplane Food Photo Journal

Not really much to talk about here, just wanted to get some photos off my chest. For the most part, over the four flights I’ve had the past couple weeks, the food wasn’t terrible. Oh yeah, it’s not called “coach” anymore. Apparently the newer, greener term is “economy”. Sheeesh, where have I been?!

    Adventure: Roadster diner (Beirut, Lebanon)
    September 28th, 2009 | Adventures

It always amuses me when someone goes to a foreign country, the people showing you around always tend to try and treat you to food from your native land. For example, some of the first places I ate at while in Lebanon were American-inspired diners. Roadster diner was the first of my stops, and I enjoyed it so much, I had it again on the last day of my trip in a different mall. Most closely comparable to a Red Robin, Roadster has several locations throughout Lebanon and through the Middle East (I couldn’t find their website to confirm what countries it’s available in). I only documented my first visit, but both visits were equally enjoyable!

    McDonald’s: McArabia Chicken
    September 25th, 2009 | Adventures, Eats

    mcdonalds-mcarabia-chicken

So while I was out in Lebanon the past couple weeks, I definitely took note to the influx in American Fast Food chains that had become a mainstay in Middle Eastern countries. One product that kept catching my eye was a McArabia Chicken Sandwich from McDonald’s which carried with it a pretty hefty advertisement campaign throughout the city of Beirut and neighboring cities. This very tasty menu item comes with two grilled chicken patties, Arabic flat bread, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and garlic/yogurt sauce akin to the type available on gyro sandwiches. Though I was attempting to stay away from “Fast Food” during my trip, there was no way I could avoid my urge to try out this sandwich…
