The ‘Taco Cleanse’ Is the Best Thing to Happen Since the Beginning of Time

I’m not really a fan of “cleanses.” They seem much too exhausting to bother with, and frankly, cheeseburger > kale juice. However, the “Taco Cleanse” by Blogger Lazy Smurf sounds absolutely brilliant.

After years of participating in misguided cleanses, Lazy Smurf finally found the support group she needed to stay 100% dedicated to her strict taco diet. In “The Hows and Whys of the Taco Cleanse,” the blogger outlines the basics of the cheeky experiment.

Thankfully, the plan is pretty simple: “All your meals must contain tacos.” The cleanse can last anywhere from “mild” (one day) to full-one FUEGO (one month). Regular margaritas are recommended as supplements to your meals, with the amount of margaritas increasing as you get closer to FUEGO status.

Counter Culture in Austin, Texas where Lazy Smurf resides, will be holding “Taco Tuesday” specials in support of the movement. There will also be potlucks at Mr. NaturalVivo and the Vegan Nom, the latter which will host a National Taco Day party on October 4th.

You can follow the #tacocleanse hashtag to help you stay on track, because as Lazy Smurf points out “Tacos Change Lives.”
