This Clever Mug Vanishes Coffee Ring Stains Once & For All

Coffee can be a huge pain in the butt. See, a lot of us need it to kickstart our days, but a cup of Joe can be annoyingly messy when those coffee rings suddenly appear on your desk or stack of papers. As our luck would have it, designer Kim Keun Ae feels our pain, as she’s designed this Drop Rest Mug.

Working under the laws of surface tension (and first world problems), the mug has a small groove near its base to capture those little coffee drips that somehow escape the cup. Basically, it’s a genius way to keep your mornings stain free.

Unfortunately, this is another “work in progress” that has yet to be released to the public. Here’s to hoping this becomes a real thing soon!
