Eat Your Salad Out of a Crouton Cone, Because This is America
Call it fate, call it genius, call it necessity, or just call it American — we can now eat a salad with one hand with a Crouton Cone Cobb Salad.
The idea for the crouton cone is the bastard child-idea of our foodie Rain Man friend Nick, who you may or may not know for the creation of the Tacone a few months back (yes, that’s a corn waffle cone that holds all the necessary taco ingredients). This time around, Nick has created a crouton cone made by made by combining finely ground croutons, egg, and some olive oil, rolled into a ball and mashed down in a waffle cone maker. Following that process, the cone gets the oven treatment at 400° until crispy – and then he dumps his Cobb Salad mixture into the opening for easy transportability: lettuce, chicken, bacon, avocado, tomato, diced hard-boiled eggs, blue cheese, and a vinaigrette dressing.
