So Apparently, This KFC Location has an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet

Sounds like the beginning of the end — Kentucky Fried Chicken locations with all-you-can-eat buffet options? Where do I sign up?

The tip came in by way of a franticly excited friend of mine who spotted the unicorn-of-a-fastfood-specimen on a recent drive through the city of Banning, a town residing in the Southern California county of Riverside. While this isn’t the only KFC in the world with a reported all-you-can-eat buffet, it’s the first time I’ve been privy to it. Furthermore, following an extensive day of research (a five minute polling of my inner circle of friends), none of them were aware such KFC build-outs existed.

All-you-can-eat fast food? The possibilities seem utterly endless. Can you fathom a towering volcano of mashed potatoes, deep fried chicken drumsticks, topped with corn and erupting with gravy? I can’t just yet, I have an imagination of a matchbook covered in water. But you can bet I’ll be making a trek out to banning to get a load of this unique fast food specimen. Why would I get anything else on the menu when I can eat everything, as many times as I want, for $8.99?

If you’ve ever been to, heard of, or have suffered a level-4 food coma from a KFC All-You-Can Eat buffet, let us know in the comments. Do you think they should make them more widely available? Here’s a look:

I noticed the option on the ‘Restaurant Locator’ on their site a while back when looking for the number of my local KFC, was a little sad to see there wasn’t one in 100miles of me but I know it’s for the best, I’d be in trouble if there was one…

We used to have these in St. Louis 15 years ago, then I moved to the south and they are everywhere and they are cheap when I came down last year they were $5!! now they are $7. However, I do not go because I can go to Popeye’s and get exactly what I want for $4-$6

There was one in my hometown of Belton, MO. The entire high school football team would descend upon the restaurant every Thursday and nearly eat the place out of inventory. Well not really, but it seemed after a while they tired of restocking the buffet while we were there.

There’s a KFC buffet in Albany, Oregon. It’s a real treat to go there because they serve BBQ chicken as part of the buffet. I wish they would put BBQ chicken back on the regular menu again.

There is one just like this in my hometown of Rocky Mount, NC that offers buffet style eating too.

Yes many of these are around quite a few in FL along the turnpike but always seemed they put the stuff out there that was the “not so fresh” items.. even a mini salad bar.

When I was growing up in the 80s in a small town in east Texas, our KFC had a buffet. I never thought anything about it.

  • Raiders757

We’ve had several all you can eat style KFC’s in Southeast Virginia for quite some time now. Been a good fifteen years or so. I used to hit them up for lunch on occasion, but these days, not so much. KFC has gone down hill over the past decade, and pretty much sucks now.

  • Tuffcookie22

yup, we have the kfc buffet as well..and even though it’s all you can eat..it still sucks. I would rather have a popeye’s!

Whoa thats amazing! I want one!

Lafayette, Louisiana has a Popeye’s buffet at one location (Pinhook). Lafayette also used to have a KFC buffet but while the location is still open (Ambassador Caffrey) it no longer has the buffet. It’s my understanding that these are not new to either franchise.

  • http://twitter.com/CarpeNutella CarpeNutella

I think just about every KFC in Kentucky has had this for years….

  • http://www.facebook.com/donleecartoon Don Lee

Where’ve you been? 15 years ago, all my local KFCs had stuffets. They don’t anymore. Chicken was mediocre if freshly placed on the buffet table; went downhill quickly.

  • Kirt Klaus

Last time I ate at one of these all you can eat joints (in Southern California), there was no breast included in the buffet and you’d have to pay an additional $1.50 to get chicken breast only one at a time!

  • BigusDickus

Please get out more….I’ve been enjoying them for many years.

  • ME

There’s been one in Pinellas Park, FL for at least 10 years. I used to go there quite a bit for the food to money ratio, but the quality wasn’t very good. I haven’t been in at least 4 years.

  • Roseanne Brown

I have been there many times but we need one here. It is too hard to drive that far. One time the folks fixed me a plate of wings to take home cause there were none and I was ready to leave when they got done.

  • David Bornemann

Anybody remember the Wendy’s Mega Bar from the mid-1990s? You could fill up on meat, chicken, spaghetti, tacos, and salad… incredible!

Dude, you gotta do your research. Apparently there are only three locations in SoCal, all in the bastion of healthy living known as Riverside County. I ate at one in Lafayette IN a couple of times and it varied from ok to decent depending on how often they refreshed the food. If you travel I-65 between Chicago and Louisville, the buffets are all over the place.

  • Michael Perkins

also a kfc buffet in Yuma. come on in and get your past its prime chicken, corn, biscuits and such…
