Here’s How To Make Edible Dexter Blood Slides

dexter-blood-slides-recipe

If Dexter ever took a dose of irony, dressed up as a serial killer for Halloween and threw a party, he’d serve up these sugary blood slides as desserts. Birthed from a “boring” Martha Stewart lollipop recipe, these edible blood samples are made from boiled sugar, melted and laid flat across baking sheets. Next, a heated blade is used to slice the sugar sheets into slides and a toothpick dipped in red dye for the perfect “blood droplets.”

So simple, genius and creepy. It’s suggested to make guests snap on a pair of latex gloves and eat the blood slides with a pair of tweezers — kind of like a pair of Dexter-esque chopsticks.
