Umami Burger Chain Now Has a Deep Fried Ice Cream Sandwich Called the ‘UFO’

It’s called the UFO, a dessert now available at the Laguna Beach location of the Umami Burger chain which means.

The dessert features a vanilla-maple cream filled oatmeal cookie sandwich, tempura battered and fried, topped with vanilla bean ice cream and coarse sea salt. Not sure where the UFO reference comes from, either from the shape…or the strange alien concoction. The new item joins Umami Burger’s location-specific Lemon Miso Crab Melt, and outside of the Umami Los Feliz location, will only be available at Laguna Beach location.
