Juice It Up! to Transform 85 Locations Into Raw Juice Bars

Juice-It-Up (JIU), known for fruit smoothie offerings across 85 locations in 4 states, has announced that the company will be retrofitting its stores and juice offerings by expanding its raw juice bar initiative. JIU has recently become one of the largest raw juice bar chains in Southern California with 6 locations and now plans to transform the menus and interiors for the remaining 79 stores.

The announcement comes amidst a growing trend of independent and natural juice bars growing under the shadow of mainstay consumer favorites like Jamba Juice, a company trying to innovate its menu offerings with the increasing consumer sentiment for organic and healthier options. Jamba Juice announced new squeezed-to-order fresh juice blends in March of this year, and launched a fruit and veggie line a year before that.

What do you think FOODBEASTS? Are you drinking more fresh-squeezed and organic juices? Is the new trend pulling you away from Jamba, Juice-It-Up and the like and into more home juicing, or organic juice bars? Let us know in the comments below.
