Dunkin’ Donuts Launches Line of Breakfast Burritos

Dunkin’ Donuts has taken this week to introduce two new options for breakfast in the form of multiple oven-toasted breakfast burritos highlighted by the “bold and hearty flavors of the Southwest.”

The new Southwest Steak Burrito features seasoned strips of steak, scrambled eggs, fire-roasted vegetables, potatoes, both Pepper Jack and Monterey Jack cheeses, all wrapped in a flour tortilla.

The new Southwest Veggie Burrito features sweet potatoes, roasted corn and black beans along with scrambled eggs and Pepper Jack and Monterey Jack cheeses, again, in a flour tortilla.

Both burritos are available for a limited time at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide. Early thoughts around the blogosphere point to these little burritos being pretty tasty. While prices may vary, those same reports note that the burritos are priced around $3.00.

6/10  Tried the steak burrito.  They’re small.  Flavor isn’t bad.  Cheese is nothing special.  The “strips of steak” are really just small bits of weird fast food “steak” (steak ums) but the ratios on everything were ok. Even more than with most fast food it should be said, this does not appear as pictured.  It’s a shapeless wrap, without any of the toastiness seen above.  To get the picture above, you’d have to squeeze all the filling into one half, and cut off the empty half.  The worst part is the lack of size.  Granted, it’s better than a flavorless potato-filled 3 pounder, but it could definitely use some more bulk.

    DISAPPOINTED!! may 20, 2012
went to Dunkin donuts to check out the new breakfast burritos. The drive up window opened at 7am. Ordered a steak and a veggie burrito. Parked in the parking lot to eat before going to work.
Opened the wrappers. Instead of finding a freshly made hot burrito, i got two dried out gummy consistency lumps of crap.

Very disappointed. Going back to McDonalds, at least when i go there i get freshly made food!!! not something thats been sitting under a heat lamp for hours!!!
