Subway’s Featured $5 Footlong for March — Jalapeño Tuna

Another month, another Featured $5 Footlong from Subway. In the vein of the lenten season, the leading sandwich shop in the world has announced a Jalapeno Tuna sub as their discounted sub of the month. The sandwich is definitely one that will only appeal to certain taste buds, and does its best to combine the brand’s tuna mix with spicy jalapeños for an interesting taste during the month of March.

Not really sure how to feel about this sandwich, any fans out there? Haters? Speak on it!

Elie is a product of Orange County, CA. In early 2012, his dentist diagnosed him with 8 different cavities, three of which on the same tooth, as a result of his 23-year Sour Patch Kid addiction.

I love tuna and jalapenos so im loving this mix. I know a lot of people don’t like tuna, and a lot of people don’t eat spicy, so I can see how this wouldn’t be good for many people.

An excellent decision by the marketers who want to keep capitalizing on the $5 foot-long ploy yet want to minimize the vittles sold at that price.

Push the least popular sandwich-types at the budget price.

I expect to see a slow retreat from the $5 ploy and revert to standard pricing except, perhaps, for the most inexpensive-to-make offerings.

I’m sorry but the only thing I can think of when I see a Jalapeno and Tuna sandwich is a 5 dollar Hooker with Gonorrhea.

This was my favorite sub from a few months back, glad it is making a return for $5. Goes good with the flat bread.

For the record, you can get it as just a plain tuna sandwich. You don’t have to get the jalapeños. I’m having one right now on wheat with most of the veggies, including the jalapeños, and I must say, it’s quite interesting. The guy did try to get me to put cheese on it, but I just can’t bring myself to combine fish with cheese.

I was actually told i could not get this without the jalepenos, i’d have to pay more for the normal tuna sub.  I can see adding stuff costing me more but removing?
