Veterans Day 2011 — A List of Free & Discounted Meals
It’s Veterans Day this November 11 and that means our wonderful service men and women will have their fair share of great food options on the cheap this week, this Friday and into the weekend and next week. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best deals across our favorite brands. Some of them are even opportune for non-vets!

Assume everything from the following list requires proof of service. We’ll update as the deals as they come in:

Applebee’s – Free Signature Entree
- With proof of service (as identified here), you will be able to endulge in a Dine-in experience of one of Applebee’s Signature entrees. Of those included are the Three-Cheese Chicken Penne, 7 oz. House Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platter, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburger, Oriental Chicken Salad and Double Crunch Shrimp. The offer is available during business hours on November 11, 2011 at participating Applebee’s only. Beverages and gratuity not included.
- All veterans and active military will receie a free burger on November 11th. Proof of service required. The offer is not valid for the Pepperjack Bacon stack Burger or Kobe Burger.
- All military veterans past and present will get their choice of one of 6 meals. The offer is valid from 11am – 5pm on November 11, 2011 at participating Chili’s in the U.S. only. Dine-in only; beverages and gratuity not included. Proof of military service required.
- Participating Denny’s will be serving free Grand Slam Breakfasts to veterans. Markets include select diners in MAryland, Virginia, Arizona, New MExico, Texas, Indiana, Colorado and Washington, DC). Highly recommended to call ahead to your local Denny’s and see what the deal is.
- Golden Corral will be celebrating their 10th annual Military Appreciation dinner this year. On Monday, November 14th, 2011 from 5 pm to 9 pm in all Golden Corral Restaurants nationwide will be giving a free “thank you” dinner to any person who has ever served in the National Guard or Reserves. - Famous Dave’s deals vary greatly by region, but the BBQ chain has put together a helpful page on their website that will show you what Veterans get depending on the area you live in.
- Free meal to military veterans al day on Veterans Day, November 11th. 10 Free Wings — Boneless or Regular, drink purchase required. More info at HootersVeteransDay.com.
- Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores and is available to all active-duty, retirees & veterans on Friday, November 11th.
- With proof of military status or proof of service at participating stores, veterans can come up on a free order of Crazy Bread.
- On Sunday, November 13th, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood veterans will be able to choose a complimentary lunch or dinner entrée. Participating locations only, make sure to give a call to your local restaurant and see what’s available (and to make a reservation!).
- From November 7th — Friday November 11th, Outback Steakhouse will be honoring America’s military veterans by offering a free Bloomin’ Onion and a Coca-Cola product during the week leading up to Veteran’s Day.
- On November 11th, buy one get one free 6 oz. Steak Entreee witht he purchase of a second one. Valid with proof of military service. Learn more here.
- On Friday, November 11th, using this downloadable coupon from their website, you (Veterans or non-veterans alike, open to everyone), customers can get lasagna or any original recipe spaghetti entree for $0.11 with the purchase of one at regular price.
- On November 11th, participating Subway restaurants will be offering free six inch subs or flatbread sandwiches to military veterans. Participating locations only.
- On Friday, November 11th from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will be honoring veterans, active, retired and former U.S. military with a free lunch. Learn more here.
- Valid only on November 11th, all veterans and active military personnel who buy one entree will reeive another entree for free. More information here.
- Friday, November 11th veterans will get a free entree including baked garlic sticks and choice of soup or salad.
- Free entrees up to $10 in value on November 11th.
