Del Taco Launches New Dulce de Leche Caramel Shake
Starting today, Southern California-based Del Taco chain will be serving up a new sippable thickness in the form of a Dulce de Leche Caramel Shake. The literal translation of Dulce de Leche means “sweet of the milk” or “milk jam,” and in food form is usually comprised of a thick, caramel-like milk-based sauce or spread.
Dulce de Leche’s roots trace back to Argentina, although the actual point of origin hasn’t been verified. It’s also a well known dessert flavor in Paraguay and Uruguay, along with other Latin countries under other names and variations. For those who are going out to try Del Taco’s new shake, let us know what you think!
