Bacon Salt

From breath mints to plush toys, we seem incorporate bacon into everything. We can now add salt to that list thanks to this little number.

Bacon-ize your fries, steak or other foods that need seasoning to add a delightful bacon kick to any dish. If that weren’t enough, Bacon Salt also comes in a Cheddar Flavor if you want your seasoning a bit on the cheesy side. The best thing about this special seasoning is that it’s Kosher and Vegetarian, leaving no man withheld from the smokey flavor of bacon. Both varieties are up for sale for $5.

I actually bought this for my sweetie. It’s not even reminiscent of bacon. It’s too bad our reviewer didn’t list the ingredients, but you can see that it says “Artificially Flavored” on the label. There is an artificial smokey flavor combined with other powdered spices don’t mind using it by sprinkling on popcorn or corn on the cob, but really: it’s a mediocre seasoning salt at best, sorta cajun-smokey. If you buy this hoping to add bacon essence to foods you’ll be very disappointed, it’s a silly marketing ploy using “Bacon” on the label but there is no bacon-derived seasoning at all. It seems they crumbled those artificial “Bacos” into a powder and mixed it with a cheap seasoning salt.
